Winter is coming (sorry, Game of Thrones fan) which means harsh, cold weather for a lot of people. With the harsh conditions of Winter, you need to take care of your skin and hair a little bit more. I’m going to show you what hair products I have been loving, and what makes them so great!
Maple Holistics Tea Tree shampoo is the first product I have been loving. I always go for more natural products to limit how many chemicals I put on and in my body, which makes this so great. This is a natural shampoo that is sulfate-free and makes my hair feel amazing!
-Promotes healthy hair growth.
-Can slow hair loss, shedding, and thinning hair.
-Helps prevent dandruff.
-Leaves your scalp and hair rejuvenated and fresh.
-Capable of soothing an irritated scalp.
This shampoo feels amazing on the scalp, and leaves my hair feeling silky and soft. The smell is amazing as well, and is quite therapeutic since it has tea tree. This is one of my all time favorite shampoos!
I haven’t colored my hair in awhile, but I do still have blonde balayage in my hair that I try to tone every week. I use this Ion product once a week to keep the blonde from turning brassy, and tone my hair with toner and developer every once in awhile. I’ve been loving this product because it is sulfate free and leaves my hair feeling soft.
I purchased this from Wegmans, which if you are from the east coast, the BEST grocery store ever! Unfortunately, you can’t buy this specific product online, but you can find normal jojoba oil everywhere.
-It has vitamin E which hydrates hair.
-It removes contaminants and environmental pollutants to clean hair, and reverse any damage.
-Moisturizes hair without leaving residue.
I put jojoba oil on the end of my hair after a shower, as well as mix it with my shampoo on occasion. This leaves my hair feeling soft and prevents my ends from breaking.
My next favorite hair product is argan oil, and the one I have been using is from Pure D’or. This has always been a must have for my hair care routine because it is very moisturizing and all natural.
-Helps heal dry scalp.
-Nourishes hair follicles.
-Strengthens the hair and adds shine.
I use this just like the jojoba oil, and put it on the ends of my hair after I take a shower. I don’t put both products in my hair, but switch them out depending on which one I want to use that day.
My last favorite product is something I have been using for years, Coconut Oil. You’ve probably heard all about coconut oil and all of the amazing benefits, but it really has been a life saver.
-Prevents hair loss.
-Helps reduce protein loss in hair.
-Helps retain moisture in hair.
-Helps minimize split ends.
I use coconut oil in a lot of different ways, but the most frequent way I use it is to massage it on my scalp. I will take a little bit before a shower, and massage it on my scalp and distribute it towards the ends of my hair. I will leave it on for about 20 minutes, then wash it out. I use a tiny amount because it can be quite hard to wash it out.
