Bali Trip: SEMINYAK
Hello everyone! I wanted to share a blog post all about my trip to Bali with my boyfriend Christian! We had a LONG flight from Los Angeles- a 15 hour flight to Xiamen, China, a 12 hour layover, then another 5 hour flight to Bali. Luckily, if you have a layover longer than 6 hours in Xiamen, you get a free hotel room! That was nice because I barely got any sleep on the plane. We arrived in Bali around 1 a.m. and immediately took a taxi to our Airbnb in Seminyak.
SEMINYAK
Seminyak was our first stop in Bali, and it was so beautiful! Seminyak is a suburb north of Kuta, and it is know for its luxury resorts, shops and restaurants. We chose to stay here because we wanted to be near the beach for the first half of the trip, and have a lot of restaurant and shopping options.
WHERE WE STAYED:
I booked through Airbnb, but where we stayed was actually a resort in the heart of Seminyak. We stayed at the Bali Mystique and were very happy with it! You get your own little bungalow with a covered patio for only $45 a night! The resort has a beautiful pool, salon, and restaurant/bar that we loved eating at.

Christian and I ate at a lot of restaurants during our trip, but I'll share some of our favorites in and around Seminyak:
WHAT WE DID:
The first full day we were in Seminyak, Christian and I went to Petitenget beach and basically swam and ate ALL day. We decided to relax since we were tired from jet lag. The second day changed all of our plans because we got into a moped accident and ended up cut and bruised. I was shaken up and decided to lay low again since I was in pain, and ended up laying out by the pool and getting my nails done at the salon at the resort. The third day was AMAZING because we booked an excursion to take a dolphin tour at Lovina Beach, hike Sekumpul waterfall and visit Pure Ulun Danu Bratan temple. We booked the excursion through Seminyak Driver Bali, and we highly recommend!
